A short update on our efforts for this Ecclesiastical Year!

Thank you for your donation to our “Shower of Kindness” Prison Ministry drive!

On behalf of Ladies Philoptochos of St George and the Prison Ministry, a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for donating clothes, feminine products, and books to the Fox Valley Women Transition Center. With everyone’s support we were able to donate 11 large boxes of clothing, 2 boxes of feminine products, 2 boxes of books, and one large bag of shoes.  It is gestures of kindness and generosity like these that make a difference in people’s lives.

A special Thank You to Dorian Abbott and his little daughter, Emma for helping to package all donations and to Theodora Diolitsis for helping to drop off the donations to the Women’s Center in Aurora.

Fox Valley Adult Transitional Center is a Transitional Security Adult Female facility that provides for a positive transition from the institution to life in the community through the use of a four-step level system.
