Rev. Fr. Joseph-Hector Abouid, Associate Priest
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Fr. Joseph-Hector Abouid as our new associate priest, effective July 1, 2025.
This assignment was made by His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago, and we offer our heartfelt thanks to His Eminence and to the Holy Metropolis of Chicago for their love, care, and continued pastoral support for our parish.
Fr. Joseph brings with him a deep commitment to the life of the Church and a wealth of pastoral experience, having served Orthodox parishes across Central America and the United States. Born in New Jersey and raised in Honduras, he holds both a Bachelor of Theology and a Master of Theology (cum laude) from the University of Balamand in Lebanon. His ministry has taken him from Honduras to Chicago, El Paso, TX, and Coral Gables, FL, where he served with dedication and faith.
We are also blessed to welcome Presvytera Carol and their three children—Aidan, Haven, and Ethan—to our parish family. The Abouid family has recently settled in Justice, Illinois, and we look forward to journeying together with them in faith, fellowship, and service.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Fr. Joseph and his family. May God grant him many years of fruitful ministry!
