The Paraklitos Bereavement Ministry

The Paraklitos Bereavement Ministry is an expression of the Church’s loving care for those who are grieving the falling asleep of the loved one.

Rooted in the faith, prayer and sacramental life of the Orthodox Church, this ministry seeks to walk alongside individuals and families during life’s most difficult journeys.

Under the pastoral guidance of Fr. Chrysanthos and Fr. Joseph, this ministry of St. George reflects the parish’s commitments to bearing one another’s burdens and offering compassion in times of sorrow.

With our hearts fixed on the hope of the Resurrection the Paraklitos Ministry provides a space of consolation, understanding and strength.

Through gatherings at St. George, participants are invited to share, to listen and to heal within the embrace of the Church.

Everyone is invited to the first gathering of this Ministry on January 17, 2026 at St. George following Divine Liturgy.
