Christmas Tree Lighting
2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Join us on December 17th for our 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration.
There will be Christmas Carols, Hot Chocolate, and of course Fr. Chrysanthos and Fr. Joseph "flip the switch" and light up the Christmas season.
Bring an ornament to hang on the tree which will be placed in the of the church.

Winter Camp StG! This is a two day event!
Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30 from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm at St. George.
Two days of fun and games for children aged Pre-K through eighth grade.
Children will play games, make crafts, there will be a service project and a talent show.

Philoptochos "Feed the Hungry"
The Saint George Ladies Philoptochos Society will serve a meal to those in need on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Annunciation Cathedral starting at 11:30 am
As part of the Metropolis of Chicago Philoptochos “Feed the Hungry” Ministry our chapter has been serving a meal on Thanksgiving Day and the last Tuesday of December for over 35 years.

The Ladies Philoptochos of St. George together with Ladies Philoptochos of Annunciation Cathedral will host “Feed the Hungry” Program at Annunciation Cathedral on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th.

Safety and Security Committee
The Parish of St. George is forming a Safety & Security Committee to ensure the safety and security of all who are part of our Church, our stewards, parishioners, staff, guests and visitors. As such, there will be a Safety & Security Committee Orientation Meeting held by Cmdr. Elias Voulgaris, Chicago PD Retired, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, after the Church Service has ended.
All First Responders who are members of the Church: Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, EMT's, Police Officers, Firefighters, Security Officers, as well as CCL Holders are invited and welcomed to attend, as are individuals knowledgeable of OSHA Regulations.

Ladies Ed Outing
Ladies Educational Society Second Annual St. Iakovos Retreat Center Outing Saturday, October11th.
Enjoy a day with us, spiritually and joyfully. Meet new people and make new friends. We plan on making wonderful memories.
Bus departure from St. George at 8:00 am, St. Haralambos 8:40 am. and returning around 7:00pm. Divine Liturgy at 10:00am with brunch to follow. Take a walk a long the trails and venerate along the way the beautiful proskinitaria throughout the property. Visit with the Farm animals that live on the grounds.
